5 Reasons to use Shampoo Bars

This is the third and last in the series of posts about shampoo bars

Need more convincing? Here are 5 reasons to use Shampoo and Conditioner Bars:

Reason #1:

Shampoo and conditioner bars are eco-friendly. Bet you already guessed this one! Because shampoo and conditioner bars are just that--bars--there's no need for plastic. And let me tell you, with 7 people in our family, we went through a LOT of plastic just in shampoo and conditioner bottles! Not anymore. I LOVE that shampoo bars are so earth-friendly. I've even had a few customers that asked for minimal wrapping on ours, which I am happy to accommodate. (there is minimal wrapping even as they are!)

Reason # 2: Shampoo bars are travel-friendly.

Yep, shampoo bars are SUPER travel-friendly--they are a solid bar, just like a bar of soap, so they are TSA-friendly for a carry-on, and very compact for however you're packing. (And if you're anything like me, you need the shampoo to be compact because you're packing so much other junk, you need all the room you can get!) Great for camping or backpacking, because they are light and very transportable.

Reason #3: Shampoo bars are much milder than drugstore shampoo.

So, we've actually already talked about this one, but if you're just tuning in, take a look at my other blog posts on shampoo bars at www.cricketnwillow.com/blog, where you'll find lots of great information on how beneficial these little guys are for your hair. I've had great feedback from my testers and customers on how soft their hair feels after using these, and I personally find my hair to be SO much more soft and manageable, even more than when I was using expensive hair products. I am a runner, and I wash my hair almost every day (gasp! don't tell the hairwashing police on me!), but I have also found that on days when I don't wash my hair, my hair does much better with my shampoo bars--I don't get that "itchy" feeling from my hair trying to replenish itself from harsh surfactants.

Reason #4: They are "high-end economical".

Shampoo and conditioner bars are made with good-for-you, high end ingredients, but generally they don't carry the high-end price tag. My shampoo bars, for instance, are a full 3ounces, generally getting 60-70 washes (depending on how you use it and the length of your hair), and my customers say that my conditioner bars last a really long time! Bonus: my shampoo bars smell terrific, and both bars come in matching scents. Look for the sets and save!

Reason #5: You get to support small business.

Yes, there are a couple of big businesses that make shampoo bars, but, for the most part, these are mom and pop manufacturers that are pouring their expertise and muscle (hey, those bars don't press themselves!) into your shampoo bars to give them their excellent qualities. I make my shampoo and conditioner bars in small batches, and each batch is tested for quality and proper pH levels. Each is scented with quality fragrance and essential oil blends, paraben and phthalate free. Safe for color-treated hair, and beneficial for normal to dry hair. Safe to use every day, or whenever is right for your hair. Head over to www.cricketnwillow.com/shop to see our shampoo and conditioner bars, and all of our products!
